The following are the rules and regulations for the legal owners of the boat slips on the Diamond Lake Beach Club Boat Docks and are incorporated into the bylaws of the Diamond Lake Beach Club.
Boat Dock Rules
1. Each boat slip owner must also be a member in good standing of the Diamond Lake beach Club.
2. Each boat slip owner is limited to the ownership of two boat slips per residential lot owned.
3. Each boat slip owner will receive a certificate of ownership with date of purchase.
4. Upon sale of boat slip, former owner must fill out certificate transfer section with date of transaction and submit to the boat dock chairman.
5. The boat dock chairman will submit a new certificate of ownership to the new owner with date of Purchase as the date of transactions.
6. Only the boat slip owners retain visitor privileges and those privileges are limited to leasing the slip space to another Diamond Lake Beach Club Member. Designated areas of the docks may be used for daytime mooring of boats owned by Diamond Lake Beach Club members and/or their guests. No overnight mooring shall be allowed.
7. Boat dock installation work day is scheduled each year the Saturday one week prior to opening of fishing season.
8. Boat dock removal workday is scheduled each year the following Saturday after the closing of fishing season or earlier if the weather is a factor.
9. The boat dock chairman will coordinate all the activities of the removal and installation of the boat docks.
10. Each boat dock slip owner or their representative must be in attendance to assist in the installation and removal of the boat docks or be assessed $25 for each work day missed.
11. There will be a minimum of one annual meeting of the boat slip owners which will be conducted as soon as possible after the completion of the dock installation.
12. At the annual meeting, all boat dock slip owners in good standing, by simple majority vote, where each dock slip represents one vote of those in attendance, will elect a boat dock chairman.
13. The boat dock chairman will be a liaison between the boat slip owners and the Diamond Lake Beach Club and as necessary to conduct business will attend the board meetings and make input and recommendations on behalf of the boat slip owners.
14. The boat slip owners will maintain a separate capital/maintenance fund account which will be overseen and monitored by the Diamond Lake Beach Club Treasurer.
15. The funds can only be extracted from the account for the purpose of maintenance or capital improvements of the boat docks and must have signatures for the funds to be released in the form of a check from both the Diamond Lake Beach Club Treasurer and the boat dock chairman.
16. An active and current list of addresses and telephone numbers of boat slip owners will be maintained by the Diamond Lake Beach Club Treasurer.
